We are hiring for an Assistant Grower Position in Summer 2026. In this role, you will work closely with both of Off Beet Farm’s owners/farmers, Emmy and Kyle. You will have the opportunity to experience many facets of operating a small farm business, including harvesting vegetables and flowers, washing and packing produce, transplanting seedlings, weeding, working at farmers markets and CSA pickups, and more. On such a small team, each role is extremely important and will have the chance to take on responsibilities in many areas of the business. This includes harvesting high quality produce, post-harvest wash and processing, record-keeping, assessing field work priorities, weeding, transplanting, and bed prep. This is a part time position, 20 to 30 hours per week, May-October. Compensation will be $18-$20/hr, depending on experience. Weekly veggies to feed the farmer and a small stipend for purchasing farm/food system books or attending educational workshops. We are looking for someone who loves to have their hands in the dirt, can work with urgency in a fast-paced environment, and brings a positive attitude to the job. We love folks who are eager to learn, and are excited to see our CSA members each week at pickup! 

Tuesdays, 10am-7pm – do a few hours of fieldwork before running the evening CSA pickup on the farm.

Fridays, 6am-4pm – harvest for Saturday market, wash food, afternoon fieldwork (weed, transplant, etc)

Saturday Farmers Market, 5am-3pm – Once per month, you’ll be a part of our rotating market schedule. You’ll bring veggies from farm to Longmont Fairgrounds to set up and work market.

Flexible Weekday, 6am-4pm – the weeks when you don’t work Saturday market, you’ll work an additional day on the farm helping with the usual harvest/wash/transplant/weed/etc.

Work Experience/Skills Desired

  • At least one season working on a vegetable farm, the more the better!
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, able to work with urgency
  • Self-motivated, with an interest in growth and improvement
  • Able to lift 50 lbs 
  • Able to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions, in all weather
  • Clear communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Offers ideas for improvement 
  • Passion for regenerative agriculture and food
  • Preferred: valid driver’s license
